Ok,
everything out for prep and paint.
Primer

Starboard
side floor. |

Everything
that had to come out is now on the benches being sanded and prepped
for paint.

Filling
all the voids with a quick sanding saves time plus gives a really smooth
finish |
|
Due
to the top having to come off these seats, the side and upper area will
be trimmed in African Mahogany. |

Need
to get a dry fit on the late model engine.
This
boat was powered by twin 50 2 cycle outboard Merc engines.
|
|
This
later model 4 cycle engine may be a little taller than the older Merc,
but we need to know now that it will fit and work without any modification. |

|
|
|
|
|
Plenty
of room for everything and good clearance. |
|
With
the engine setting in the proper angle we still have almost three inchs
to work with.

Now
to make the Helm. I found some nice African Mahogany to use.
|
|
Making
up the helm and a matching dash.
Both
can be made at the same time
