I mounted the Port side on the helm with only two bolts to keep it safe as well to get a good idea on the outcome.

This shows the grab rail that is part of the port side. You can also hold onto the very upper piece of mahogany.
 

Nice pattern...Nice fit. I think I will go with this.

Next up is Varnishing.

     
 

A little color difference with the Old wood (top) and the New wood.

 

By the time I get done drowning this in Varnish, it will all look like glass over wood.
