This
has the lower inspection kick plate taken down to add the steering and
gauges. |
|
This
gives a better idea of what its going to look like in place.

Both
pieces in place ready for varnish.
This
was designed to give the most amount of free area as possible to move
around.
Plenty
of storage under the foot rests right now. More in the rear.
|
|
Mahogany
trim will go on the edges of the seat/tank boxes to help hide the seams
that will be at the top.
The
seat and top will be removable to access the tanks sending unit.
Stage
two of this project will be to put a drawer in place under the seat
for maps, flairs, ropes etc. |

Here
is a knee that hinges under the rear Step/Seat. I rounded off the
edges of the hinges. I try to keep away from too many right angles.
|
|
Here
it shows it mounted with just a few screws. More painting primer and
base coat needed in places. |

This
is on the lid, See next picture for placement) and will be a stop
as so the knee will not kick out past it.
I
have put my 200 plus pounds on these steps and jumped up and down
to assure it will hold the weight of someone stepping down real hard
on them.
|
|
Now
you see where it resides.
If
boarding, the step would be down as you had to put it down to go ashore.
When
aboard, put the step or steps up for more room of shrimp or crab pots.

Remember
this is not a Trailer Queen, this boat will be used all over Puget
Sound and the beautiful San Juan Island.
More
pictures to follow.
