Hi All:
The boat has been completely sanded smooth with 80 grit followed by 220 on the orbital sander. I wiped everything down with Interlux Solvent 202 and then masked off the entire hull. I decided to paint the whole boat down to the water line. The rub rail and side trim piece are just too difficult to remove without removing the cabinet structures inside. I hope it will be an acceptable finish with them attached. The old gelcoat is very smooth. Tomorrow I will roll and tip the first coat of Interlux 404 Primer...
Here goes!
