... and brought another one home. Thanks to Marty's excess inventory and my longtime desire for a little wooden runabout, this one followed me home and took up residence in the shop.
She's a little dirty and a little damp, but quite sound with the exception (so far) of some rot in the keel just before it rises into the stem. I drilled a 1/2" hole in the transom, where a future drain plug will be installed, and the wood was dry and sound. Same for the scuppers I drilled in the frames.
The ply hull and deck have been glassed, the glass on the hull appears to be well bonded and the ply is sound. The deck glass is cracked and delaminating, but that's okay since the plan is to remove the deck and reconfigure the boat as a single cockpit.
I have a '57 35 hp Johnson that should provide plenty of power for this little lightweight thing. The boat's controls and steering are ready to attach to the engine, obviously it was last powered by a Johnson or Evinrude.
