    Sounds good

Thats where we were thinking of launching for opening day so it would be a good trial run so we know the way. We have it on the calendar -

    See you there !

Rick, Looks really good . I can appreciate how much work it takes and how hard it is to get the great results you have achieved. I have been working on my boat doing a "remodel" this winter. I did'nt intend to do as much as I have done but it seems like one thing leads to another. Hopefully I'll finish soon.

        Rick,

        Looks great!!

If your planning any more shake down cruises on Whatcom give me a shout. I live two blocks from the Blodel Donovan ramps and I just started de-winterizing the Chris Craft so its about time for my spring shake down as well.

              Ready to go !

I got the Coast Guard Safety check done and ready to go ! Also was able to save the original boat cushions for the cabin. The bottoms were shot and Tim had put some seat covers over them which saved the material. Upholstery guy put new material on the bottoms with Zippers for a fraction of the cost of new ones. Pretty wild 1962 pattern good thing I can say they are original and that I didn't pick the material. Filled with Gas so unless its a monsoon we will be in Seattle this Sat. We don't have a canvas and I hate to drive 90 miles in the rain just to launch and cruise in the rain then 90 miles back :boater1:

P.S. : Gotta love E-bay ! Found some original "Raymond Loewy" design bread plates that match the pattern on the counter top . Where does it stop ? :surprised1:

Rick, I always get the Coast Guard Safety Inspection but i don't know about that green colored sticker this year on "Bainbridge" ? The San Juan sure does look nice ! You said, where does it stop ? Get a Itchy boat.

Got a Larson that keeps scratching at me ! Soon as the guy I share the shop gets one of his boats out of there the Larson is going in to tear into the trailer and primer the hull - Then I'll be off and running on that one .
Pretty Umbrella, but does not match the color of the California Girl. :Raining:

Rick, I knew i had it made with the inspection. Some of the items you need , i have two or three of them left over from other boats. Green sticker ? I still need the Coast Guard inspectors to come over so i can get that green sticker. Chuck

                            Keel done !

Got a thick layer of fiberglass attached to the keel and 3 good layers of Gel Coat over that . Thanks to Melanie who came out and helped with attaching the new 8' Guard to the bow section. Had Melanie and my neighbor help me wrestle it on and I think it went on really good - Hope it not like Lootsa and when I take the tape off it springs loose. Seemed to hold real well last night so it think its good to go. We'll see tonight when I go back out to clean up ? Just have to adjust the trailer rollers and remove the blocks and the bottom should be done. Only thing left is the Electronic ignition and Heat Exchanger for the fresh water cooling. Thanks Mark & Melanie for the help last night

                                Keel Guard stuck good !

Keel guard stuck for good, Ran a good bead of 3-M 5200 around the edge so it's not going anywhere. Did the final work on the forward hatch. Wood that was glued to the back side was particle board and was swollen up and shot. Had to chisel all that out and built a laminated piece for replacement. Sealed it with Benite and then Teak oil so don't think it will rot in my lifetime. Got some rubber trim from Wefco and attached that with the 5200 and will put that back on the boat probably Thursday. :Underconstruction1:
