So, I finally finished (I hope) the restoration of Rosario's dinghy. Becky thinks it is so pretty that it should spend its days out in the front yard along with maybe a piling with a seagull on it and a carload of sand to hold it in place and make it look beachy. Anyhow, ain't going to happen unless I can't get it to track well behind Rosario.
Here's what I did to it. Tore out almost half of one side and removed rotten wood, filled it with fiberglass and bondo. Glassed a sked on the hull. Filled the bow with the kind of foam that is used to make floats and glassed it in. Painted hull white with gray transom, floor and stripe as well as oars. In a couple of months, the floats will go in at our boat launch and we'll see how she tows.
