• Well another day with the boat, but not finished with the outboard. Still more to do with the controls and I had to order a different length steering cable...mine is a foot too long.

• Oops, I've been neglecting my own thread...

Yeah John, it felt great to get it out on the water for sure. I can see my vision coming to light.

I took some time off of work to get things done on the boat, and then came down with a cold during the nicest week of the year! I wasn't going to let chills and a fever stop me though... I re-wired the boat; new terminal block, power wires, wiring for the lights both exterior and interior. I may end up going a different route with the wiring but for now I kept it simple.

Yesterday I took the boat out to my in-laws and intended on only making a new seat support for the port side, and instead not only made a seat support but also tore apart the cabin area and re-framed the inside. We also cut some new doors however I still have to finish them off before installing them. I'll probably end up re-painting the entire inside of the boat, at least all of the wood areas but will check the weather to see if the sun is going to hang out for a while.

That's about it for now...

• More boat work today...

Cleaned and prepped the entire inside for paint. Picked up some grey for all the current baby blue areas. Boat paint is expensive! I'll plan better next time and go with Chuck's pick for a supplier.
I also picked up tons of SS screws and other hardware. Tomorrow is paint and assembly, hopefully all dried by Tuesday before the rain hits. Also finished putting the decals on the outboard controls. I know they're not true Bearcat controls, but the Homelite controls just look cooler IMHO.
