Looking good there Kelly! You going to keep the vinyl floor or go with carpet?

So I've worked about 12 hrs a day on the boat, everyday this week! Nice vacation huh? If you look at the boat it might not look like I've done too much to it, but it's all the little things that add up.
Aside from those things I mentioned earlier here's a small list:
-Painted inside
-Re-framed cabin area (still need cushions)
-Re-installed helm area (steering, light switches)
-Installed 12v power socket at the helm
-Installed a bilge pump
-Installed a port-side seat
-Stripped crappy blue paint from a chrome Perko interior light assembly
-Had two new seat legs made
-Removed the fuel filler from the cabin area and installed a VHF mount in place of the GIANT hole left behind by the fuel filler
-etc...
Still lots to do!

It all takes time....And I don't think these boats are ever really "done". Sounds like you made the most of your vacation though. What did you use for your cabin paint? I was going to carpet the bunk area in the cabin on the Uni but still not sure. Mine is still the white with the black splatter finish for lack of a better term.

If I lived somewhere with more sun than rain, I might of considered installing carpet. As far as paint, I might have went a little extreme but I used a bilge paint from west marine. It's durable for sure but doesn't look great with the brown/cream gel coat. It will look much better with the blue/silver combination.

Chuck I ended up buying a carpet from Home Depot. It was an impulse buy, but I liked the idea of a mold, mildew resistant carpet that was made out of recycled water bottles!
Nick, mine looks just like yours

Another impulse buy, this time I made out. I was surfin' with Craig two nights ago and came across an ad for a galvanized bunk trailer...for a sweet price that I couldn't pass on! So on my way to pick it up I throw an ad on CL for my current trailer and low and behold, 3 offers before I even pick up the new trailer! Oops! I better make sure the trailer and boat fit together first! So yesterday my son and I made the trek to PA for the trailer since the people we were buying it from had multiple back up offers after us.
Long story short, today my son and I did the swap and after some minor adjustments it fits perfect! I couldn't be happier.Attached Files

Thanks guys! As for my old trailer being sold...all I can say is I have a love/hate relationship with craigslist trolls. Love 'em when they do commit, but they only commit 1% of the time! So, check out the classifieds section for a nice galvanized boat trailer for sale!

Nice score on the trailer! That is a perfect fit! I personally love bunk trailers. Far better support for the hull, less maintenance, and typically lower center of gravity (which tows better and is easier to load and unload in the driveway).
As for your love-hate relationship with Craig and his often flaky friends, I have coined a new term for those people, "craigsflakes"!!!Brian Flaherty
