Joe it was Assocated Glass in Lynnwood. Middy's wanted twice the amount. They have done the Dorsett Farallon 3-4 Skagits, and Jerry's Rosario and a few others for me. Marty,Charlie ,Tom, GregJ and myself have been using them over the years. If anyone calls there ask for Jim as the girl will tell you they do not do boat windows for some reason. Use my name. Chuck

$450- $500 per front windshield is what I've paid. Maybe more now. There is a shop on Aurora Ave. and in Snowhomish.

Soooo, I've decided to try and fix my scratched up windshield. Has anyone used the restoring method used on Fiberglassics? If you did, did it work for you? http://www.fiberglassics.com/latest/...hed-windshield

I will have to go over and look at that.
I have always used (started out with the windshield on Harley) the harshest 3M cutting agent and the buffer to make them look brand new again. Had some scratches on my Uniflite and I buffed them out.
I think it was the wiper marks...

Well, I went and looked.....6 hours, I think not. I hit mine with the buffer. You will know when your getting it too hot...That's the idea, get her to heat up and the scratches just go away.
It might have taken me a half hour but I doubt it.

When you area around the edges and not protected by the rim, or there are drilled holes with the bolts thought it, be Real careful how hard you bare down on it as if there are any cracks, you will really open them up. The idea is to get it to heat up and the rubbing compound does the trick.

6 hours my rear.... I bought a nearly identical windshield from Marty a few years ago for the 404. Or maybe it was last year... anyway! It was yellow and you couldn't see through it. It is now fully functional as a windshield. how?....

Go to your local parts store and buy a headlight repair kit - with the power ball. Follow the instructions. In a couple of hours you will have a nicely restored windshield for about $20. They come with little sanding pads. You can use them, or use regular sandpaper. I found the included pads sufficient for my use. If your windshield is in really bad shape, you'll have to use the pads. If not, you just use the power ball. Works great!
