Well a little update on the Tournament....Hole patched engines done and ready to be dropped in...Then on to paint(most likely this spring unless I get a wild hair this fall. I am thinking about going with a medium grey side black bottom paint with a red stripe and a white deck. Building the wood transom too. I love this guys boat.[ATTACH]16820[/ATTACH]Attached Files

For your transom if you don't actually need the structure of a planked transom you can achieve the same look by laminating a piece of door skin mahogany. My parent's 38' Tolleycraft Mariner has this treatment done and it looks sharp!

Yes on the time to do that. Its not a couple of weekend's kind of job for sure.
When we did Bruce's Bell Boy, that one took over a year..
I had a 24 footer that I was going to use as my San Juan Gunk Holing boat but never got that far.
