Stained all of the clear wood with Interlux Brown Mahogany and used Epifanes clear varnish. Have 5 coats now and will wet sand and apply another coat before this season. The inside was primed with an epoxy primer then sprayed with Zolatone spackle paint.

As things got closer to some type of completion I painted the 1959 Mark 35a and cleaned up the controls. I picked up this outboard at Moses Lake area. This motor has been a fresh water motor all of its life so it was easy to take apart, no broken fasteners. I purchased a pint of Cloud White with hardener and pint of clear with hardener. Pickup some etching primer from my paint distributer. With some cleaning, sanding, painting, decals and black detail paint she turned out ok. I did replace the impeller and gaskets and soon to replace all of the fuel lines.

We have only had the boat out twice, first time on kitsap lake to test and then to the Mason lake event last September. After the test on kitsap lake I moved the gas tanks up forward in the aft cockpit and installed the smallest Optima battery in the back to help with forward weight. I have two 16' sticks of stainless rub rail that should be her tomorrow. The trailer is 1973 Holsclaw which needs some new rails, have already modified the winch stand so the bow roller sits over the top of the bow Eye. My wife did the upholstery in blue and white.

Some more pics. This was a real challenge but I do like a challenge my only problem is once I get started I cant stop. I picked the boat up in September 2014 and had it in the water for the first time the end of August 2015. I had one of my busiest years with my business and 21/2 months in Arizona so it was less that a year with the construction. The goal now is to make as many boat shows and events this summer as well as all of the vintage trailer rallies we attend with our 1965 Airstream.

Yes it does feel good to have this project almost complete, still have a few projects on the list. Have a 1965 falcon future to rebuild; strip the paint to bare metal and paint. Still want to paint the 1959 Seafair Sedan and that one will be complete. Will also bottom paint it as we keep it on a buoy out in front of the house.Attached Files

Where did you find these pics? interesting pics of the emblem's with the Siglers name and now to see what the emblem is on the front cockpit dash. I have been trying to find all the info I can on the brothers and their locations. What I have heard is they had three different locations two in Tacoma and one in Olympia. Thanks for finding these pics. Dave

One of those pic's shows Marty with his Lady Clipper and the pictures were just on my system. I think they came from Marty but can't remember for sure.
I have others of the larger boats but was picking and choosing. Not sure If I can add the others without duplicating some of them but will try if you like.Helmar Joe Johanesen

Picked up a couple 16' sticks of 3/4" stainless rub rail. Cut and shaped the front end of the stainless, the installation process takes two people with all of the radius and curves. I like the look, kind of finishes things off. Next project to restore/rebuild the trailer, have already completed the rebuild of the winch stand and pick-up new shocks.

Lifting the Dart up off of the trailer to rebuild and paint the trailer. Just had a travel/storage cover made for the Dart all of the edges are padded. Rich's in Kingston made the cover, excellent fit. Getting the boat ready for Lake Chelan in October.
