Looking good Gabe! Bummer about the falling out, hopefully that ends soon.
I'm a little envious that work is still getting done while you're at work, that's cool that your dad is willing to keep at it!

Been a while since i posted so heres a photo dump.

the port side had a crap layup where someone had glassed over the gelcoat and we had to plug the fwd vent hole (formally for the oem inboard setup). We ground, we found cracks so we are making it right. Conclusion is that it was hit there at some point.

on the stbd side we primed and painted the lower trim stripe with interthane 990 crowley red.(10% thinner reduction) Sprayed with a touchup gun just to see how it would lay and if we even could. So it looks pretty good after one coat. We shall proceed on with this paint once the rest of the hull is prepped.

She is looking good for sure. Doing what you are doing, that boat will be around and a Classic for a Very long time.
I hate seeing these old girls going away as once they are gone, thats it, gone is Gone.
Thank you for saving her !!!

Tell me more about the fuel tank that is being built.
The 58 I have for sale or selling has two smaller tanks up next to the cabin bulkhead and being used as foot steps.

Going with springfield gas adjustable 13” -19” with above deck base for both seats. Got one ordered up and it works perfect. As for the tank, our friend welded up a beautiful 50 gallon flush mount that will be just held to deck by 5200 on the corners.

Ive been talking with kelly about windows, stressing about it, and going back and forth about what im going to do. I think im just going to do lexan(acrilic/plexiglass or whatever) i can get my hands on up here as its so hard to get a hold of up here. I may call an audible and buy a windshield and cut that myself if i feel comfortable on a couple practice pieces. I know i can do plexiglass so i keep defaulting to that.

also been on the helm console quagmire. Been drawing up different layouts in 3d to get some inspiration there.

anyways, i hope to have at least one of these 3-4 things finished next days off.
