  • Lady Clipper: Into the Light

This was one of those days where you spend the whole time playing Musical Boats, moving canopies around, shifting project boats from inside to outside, from canopy spaces to indoors, etc.

In the process I had a brief outdoors view of the 1955 Lady Clipper 18 express (photos below), before tucking it back under cover. The boat is missing its mahogany-framed windshield (off for stripping and varnish), but when I've had time to apply maybe one more coat of paint all-around, I'll reinstall the windshield, rubrail trim, deck hardware, etc.

    Slowly, she's coming together.
