Thanks to John Nelson, he scored my 17 skagit and 59 Bell boy and one good trailer that is way up towards Canada now.
I have my 59 Skagit Skimaster, 59 Skagit Offshore and the 60 Dorsett Catalina that I got from Chuck Carey in Sandy at my Son's (and 2nd X-wife's) for now.
Down here in Eugene (really Veneta) I have my Uniflite.
Lost my 14 Skagit, my other Dorsett Catalina, 24ft Fiberform that just needed to be put back together (fresh engine) and my little tender came up missing up there too..
I have No place to put Anything until maybe late this coming summer.
I have a dream. When the economy works its way back up (and it will, it's history repeating itself) that people will not be able to afford New boats but would invest in some old classic boats that will hold there value. I do the structure work and let the customer do most of the finish work I laid out for them. That makes it a win win situation for folks...........I said it was a dream didn't I
I just hate seeing these old girls going to hell or worse, the smasher as once they are gone, bother, Thats All she wrote, Zip, Nodda, all gone.
I have proved that the boats we restored are better, safer than a lot of the new ones coming out And for less money.
Hey wait, was I standing on a soap box ?? ;-)Helmar Joe Johanesen
