Skagit 18 SOLD August 23rd
1961 Model 18 (16'11" and 84" beam). Very roomy and original boat. Very solid. The boat is in good condition overall with a new rear floor in the bilge area installed by Marty Loken. Transom is solid so it does not need any fixing. This is a freshwater Boat used on Columbia River so hardware is in good condition as is windshield. Seats are original to the boat and in good condition. There is a canvas cover in moderate shape with aluminum rigging.
The bulkhead under the splashwell was removed and Marty made a template for a replacement so the replacement is pretty straightforward. Template is simply a flat piece of plywood with a cutout for access to the transom area for gas cans etc.
Trailer (updated) Boat comes with 1960s Chattin (Boise) roller trailer that is in reasonable condition. I just towed the Skagit this weekend from Olympia to Portland and used it with a similar size Glasspar several times up and down I-5 with no problems. The trailer is fine in the short run - length is good but a bit narrow as to width. Trailer was used in freshwater (Salem area) and is not the typical rustbucket from that era. 1 7/8 hitch ball. No lights. Good tires.
Motor (updated)
No motor. The 90 hp Mercury option no longer exists since Thom sold it to a very happy customer. The Evinrude shown in the picture went to Chuck several months ago.
Location: updated
Scappoose at my house just off US 30 NW of Portland. Easy to find. No longer in Poulsbo.
Photos
Will be updated tomorrow. The pictures below were taken during the last year.
Title:
Boat: Previously titled in Washington (Vancouver) and title transferred to my name in Oregon.
Trailer: Never registered since it was previously used with a Glasspar registered in Salem Oregon. Oregon does not require trailer registration at that weight.
Price:
$800 with trailer.
