WTB 20' Classical Glass Cruiser

I'm currently looking for a nice, resaonably priced 1957-58 Skagit 20 foot Express or Offshore, or similar late 50's early 60's Reinell or Sabrecraft.

When I say "nice" I mean original gelcoat, good glass, solid transom. Upholstery would be nice, but is not deal breaker. Motor and trailer is optional. Not in a big hurry (as I have other boats), but I've got my eyes open.

I don't believe I have seen this one before but I do like the fact its got the hard top with it.
Those are getting harder and harder to come by.
That trailer is nice that its low slung too. Less water to float your boat :boater1:

I have been all over that cockpit area and know how small it is.
Really going to be crowded even with a little 4 banger.

Joe, You are right. Even with my Farallon with the outboard version it was a very small cockpit.That is one thing i really like about the Skagit 20 Offshore that it has a comfortable cockpit area even with the cabin being smaller than the 20 Skagit Express and as you know the Skagit's are not very good in rough water conditions. As far as the Farallon it is a better riding boat ,but is very hard to keep on a plane ( Skagit's are very easy to get on a plane with less speed) as you more or less have to have it wide open. I feel the Farallon ( it had a 150hp two stroke) would have been a lot better boat with that 115hp 4 stroke that the Skagit has. The steering with Tele-A-Flex was tough to turn 180 or more. You had to fight it all of the time.With the Skagit all you have to do is sit back and turn it on a dime. I hope the "18" is the same. I guess a person can't have everything. Chuck
