Well the time has come to part with my beloved Bearcat. I really love these motors but my boat needs a bit more power and I dont want to ruin this one pushing it too hard. So here we are...I'm asking $550 complete with controls. I have video of her on the lake too. As soon as I figure out how I'll post them.

I am not sure about if the bearcat I have will be suited to my Sea Knight boat. I probably should find that out before I purchase another. The drive to Idaho is something I wouldnt be able to do until Jan 2015. I think my boat will be in the 2000+ lbs range when completed. One thing though yours is running and mine has an oil leak and I have never run it.

I'm not in a huge hurry to get rid of it really. My boat is a bit over 2k and it pushes it at about 18-20 at WOT and will cruise about 13-15 but my boat planes at that speed. Just depends what you want to do with your boat really, the kids and wife want to tube and the 55 is just a few hp short for that. But for a nice cruise there isn't a better motor for this size boat.
P.S. hull speed on these Uni's seems to be about 30, much more and shes skating around like a fat girl on roller skates.

Interesting Nick, thanks for the feedback. I feel some more encouragement about the motor since those kind of speeds are what I was looking for with my boat. Cruising around enjoying God's creation is my goal. If you still have the motor for sale after the new year I will be making a trip over to see my daughters/son in law's new home in Post Falls which I think is not to far from you and that would be a good time for me to pick it up.
