  • Steering linkage for 1960 75 hp Johnson?

I am nearly complete with the restoration of a 1958 Bryant (my first resto project), and am having trouble determining what I need to hook up the single push/pull cable (Vollrath) to the front engine bracket on a 1960 Johnson 75 hp outboard. Can anyone help me out here? Also, would you happen to know where the necessary parts might be available?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,--hope you're all having a great summer.

Here is the linkage that goes onto a Johnson link, that I don't have to show you.

This linkage goes onto the end of the steering rod and attaches to a plate on the Johnson.
I have seen some folks just use a bolt with double nut and washers.

Just remember the farther in front of the motor or it a bolt sticks out, the more turns it will take to turn the boat.
The closer to the pivot point of the motor, the less turns it takes to turn the motor.

I think I have seen most of the hookups right under the motors handle or cross arm...
