cleaned out grandpas garage !!!!

hey guys,
cleaned out grandpas shop yesterday and we found this merc buried in there he dint even know it was there. brought it home put her on the fiberform and sure enough she started right up well after crankin it a couple times not sure of the year yet but it's a 115hp i noticed when i whent to tilt the motor up it only wanted to go about a half to a inch then wouldn't go anyfarther. no obstructions could it be the shocks are bad? it won't let me upload pics at this time i'll try later. but it has blue and white writing. i do beleive that it is the same year as the merc that was on the bayliner when i got it.serial number 4114261. also where would i find gauges for this motor?

figured out why it wouldn't tilt the little deals on the sides were bent and the bar was broke so they were jammed together fixed it all up.also on these mercs how do u realease the lock to tilt the motor up?it doesn't have any where arounfd the clamp like the jonny's and rudes to unlock it.
