Lowell, I will probably make it. I have cruised the Snowhomish several times but very little delta cruising. It will be great to have you lead the way. I might launch at Everett but I will meet you by 12 noon.

Let's see;Last week the car had the rear window bashed out($800), d#$n Casino Rd vandals, today the tow rig fuel pump died, another 100+, and I have to go to work!
      It's always something...

Lowell, Where is the launch you are talking about other than the 10th street one in Everett ? ? ? How deep is the slough ? The last thing i want to do is scrap the bottom or the motor in the G-3 ? Thanks for your help,Chuck

Are you sure? Will that thing run slow enough? My boat isn't used to that kind of speed.

              Chuck,
Does that mean you're bailing out on a boating adventure in your own neighborhood? It's too bad about all that stuff that happened to you, maybe a few hours of wind down time on the boat may help you feel better. Lowell

                Should be deep enough.

The address of the Launch is 3505 Lowell Snohomish River Road it is at the Rotary Park in the old section of Everett called the Lowell Neighborhood. This is where the old dump was, the tire fire, do those ring any bells?
For you, the driving directions would be--- drive north on Hy 9, take the first Snohomish exit-- drive past the airport and just before crossing the river in Snohomish turn left at the Mill onto Lowell Snohomish River Road and follow it for about 5 miles to the boat ramp. $5 to launch.

Two weeks ago I ran this same section of the slough and river at this tide level and a little lower and never touched bottom. However you have to use a little River sense, stay in the middle of the channel and on the outside of the bends, watch for deadheads and you should be ok. I don't have a depth sounder so I can't tell you the depths I encountered.

Start time with the boat in the water is noon. Hope to see you there with your Girl.

Lowell,I don't know anything about the old dump or the tire fire thing. Does it have a dock ? If it is in Everett i will drive up I-5 from Mill Creek and find this magic ramp. Sorry not trying to be a butthead. lol Chuck

Morning all. Chuck, from I-5 northbound, take the 41st street ramp. Take a right at the light. Go 100 yards and take another right. Go a mile or so thru Lowell to a 4 way stop. Turn left down the hill, across the R/R tracks. Another 1/4 mile or so to the launch. And there is a dock there.

Yes there is a dock, there is enough room for 4 boats to tie up. I mentioned the dump and tire fire because years ago that's what was here along about 50 years I think it was the Simpson Mill too. Some people know the area by that. Also more history we will be going past the Fort Ebby site in our boats, it was built for the Indain wars of the 1860's. It should be a great day, sun and 65 degrees.

Wait, wait Chuck. Decided a ride in your G-3 trumps having a birthday dinner with my kids. Think I could be in Everett by 3 p.m. With that boat we should have no trouble catching up with the pack!!
