G-3 Palooza at Spencer Lake

A fleet of fast little G-3's showed up today at Spencer Lake, south of Allyn and not far from Mason Lake, for their first-ever all-G-3 gathering in the Northwest, organized by Jerry High and Thom Adams.

Jerry says he'll post names of all of the G-3 owners who made it, so stay tuned.

We brought our "G-3.5," which of course is not a G-3 at all...the 1958 Skagit 17' inboard.

Awesome to see the boys playing in the water, the bikini'd g3 groupies must have been redacted from Marty's pics for security reasons.
Wish I could say that my g3 will be ready for next year-it is so far back in line that I won't even admit to owning one.

Love those G-3s. Funnest boat I ever drove. Chuck probably wouldn't lone me his without him being around cuz he's afraid I'd fish in it. How do you fish at 35+ m.p.h.. Thanks for the pictures Marty.

Don't feel bad, Greg- My G-3 needs paint, motor, steering, wiring, and the trailer needs work too!

Reminds me I`m supposed to paint one for Norm Boddy ......His was almost a 1/4 inch thick on the TOPSIDES,same color.

Actually, it's a '68 Carlson Challenger, and the hull is supposed to be RED (before it faded out). I haven't decided yet what colors to repaint it, I'm leaning towards a metalflake candy apple red over gold accents.
