Okay, things have been fluid with our Boating Safety Class instructor since he's been in the midst of moving his office and class location, but yesterday I got the final word on details...so here they are.
Skip Anderson's business, Flagship Marine, will be moved by this weekend to 3206 20th Street East, Fife, WA, which is next door to the West Marine store in Fife, near Exit 136 off of I-5. (This is only a five-minute drive from the location we previously discussed, on the north edge of Tacoma.)
Cost for the Saturday, April 11 workshop will be $25 per person. We'll have lunch next door to Skip's office at Joe's Deli, which offers excellent food at reasonable deli prices...a lot less than we would have spent at the restaurant where we previously were planning to hold the class. The class will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a lunch break.
Good news is that with the move to Skip's new office, there will be no limit on the number of NWCBC members who can register. If more than 25 folks say they're coming, we may ask some members to bring folding chairs, but from earlier roll calls it appeared we would not go over that figure.
The Boating Safety Class will prepare all of us to immediately obtain our Washington State boating-safety cards.
If you would like to attend, please confirm by responding to this posting.
In a few days, we'll post a map showing the location, and any other details that emerge.
Thanks, and we'll hope to see you there!
