Melanie and Mary e-mailed me that they are coming. That means we should have at least Skagits from 14ft to 31ft. Some Bell boys, a Thunder Hawk and Ricks fabulous little boat. Should be worth coming to see the boats. The dock is full for boats on the water. Clint

Great little town for sure.
I know La Conner well as my dad kept is boat on C dock, there in the port. The weather report incidentally is showing thunderstorms, but I'm hoping they will blow around us. The radar currently shows no heavy clouds in the area.
I'm working as hard as I can to get the blue Skimaster boat ready. It's all set but I still have to cut the electronics in and finish the wiring for the house side. I plan to do that today and tomorrow.
The red Skagit 18 will not be coming as it is in the yard getting the bottom repaired. (Seems that whoever screwed the bottom boards in used screws that were a bit too long and perforated the hull in several places. The boat also had a trailer that was too small around the fenders and so I'm having these scratches and indentations faired out by a fiberglass expert. So today job is to install the VHF and GPS on the blue boat shown below.Attached FilesDave

I'm not bringing the Larson - I'm bringing my Old Skagit I sold to my neighbor. I think it would fit better in the boat show since it's local. Wait till you see how that Sterling paint has held up after about 6 years !! Never been waxed or anything done to it -Rick & Sarah

Even in a parking lot, if the Swinomish Slough floods, then the electronics will be useful. While I don't expect that to happen you just never know and we might get a little rain which would aggravate the situation.
In a more serious vein, what is the timing for arrivals of the boats to La Conner for display for those of us who have never been to the thing in the past.Attached FilesDave

Clint, what time should the boats be at La Connor Sat A.M.? Is there an entry fee? I would like to have exact change if required. Will you be there bright and early? Still hoping I can make it, looks good so far. Thanks, KentKent & Diane

LaConner Washington Car and Boat Show.
Originally posted by DMCI, post: 25693Of course I know that, but I heard rumors of a cruise the next day where depth finder as a minimum will be useful. I also want to get the darn thing finished out of my hair as far as a project is concerned.

Sorry, I meant they did Not have to be finished as the post was pretty clear from the start of this thread, but I to hate unfinished projects to a degree.
So you run into a lot of "Depends Ons" like if its unfinished, is it safe to tow, that sort of thing. If I have wires dangling out of holes were instruments are to be mounted, sorry, not finished enough, details that make a difference.
The boat that most people don't see is the Convertable. I don't think there is any others that I know of so That one, finished or not would sure be something to see.
And Yes, Ingvar has created a Sunday event for the folks that did Not put boats in the LaConner show and might want to go boating.
But.....If there is not enough interest in the Sunday Snohomish Slough event, it might get canceled. So, if your interested in that event, better call him or talk to him as he will be at the LaConner Car and Boat show.
The LaConner Show is only Once a Year people. This is something that is worth going to as its not just Boats!!. You have Many cars that will also be at the show, you have Tim Jones and the Skagit Saratogan going to be at the show.
Its not too late people.....:GoTeam1:Helmar Joe Johanesen

Hey, I'm all of those
Well, the boat is getting electrics electronics installed.
Because of previous suggestions, the electronics will be represented by templates for the – cutouts.
Since the guy that installed the motor didn't understand the Merc monitor system, I've had to totally undo it in some of those wires (more specifically cables) are in fact hanging down.
My goal for today was to add wiring support of electronic components and a breaker for the overall 12 V system. In addition, it turns out that all the trailer wiring works except for the night tag light system. So it's back to the dealership for a little wiring work repair something that may have been affected when they adjusted the trailer.
But based on input from members here, I'm treating a thing as a come as you are party. If I can accomplish my goals for today, then what I have left is physically installing the electronics to include a radio, GPS plotter, and associated systems and set up the backbone NEMA 2000 network system which will tie in GPS position data at the radio for emergency location data. It will also hopefully tie in the Merc monitor system with the engine screen on the GPS. All of which will be on display in one form or another for the show.Dave

I was hoping to make it but that would be a very long day for me as i am staying down here in Eugene. ( I started a project only to find its taking me a Lot longer than I hoped for )
I was Really wanting to drag up the Uniflite but it looks like it will have to be next year. Just too many things taking up my time.
I really wanted to make this one too but, oh well.
I will be working with Chris (our programmer) this weekend as we are about to make some changes to the forum and with him working now, I can only get him on weekends and not many of them so, had to jump on this.
So, I guess my excuse is, I have to work this weekend.:email1:
Going to set our club meeting for end of September, going to make that for damn sure.Helmar Joe Johanesen
