Well, the boat is getting electrics electronics installed.

Because of previous suggestions, the electronics will be represented by templates for the – cutouts.

Since the guy that installed the motor didn't understand the Merc monitor system, I've had to totally undo it in some of those wires (more specifically cables) are in fact hanging down.

My goal for today was to add wiring support of electronic components and a breaker for the overall 12 V system. In addition, it turns out that all the trailer wiring works except for the night tag light system. So it's back to the dealership for a little wiring work repair something that may have been affected when they adjusted the trailer.

But based on input from members here, I'm treating a thing as a come as you are party. If I can accomplish my goals for today, then what I have left is physically installing the electronics to include a radio, GPS plotter, and associated systems and set up the backbone NEMA 2000 network system which will tie in GPS position data at the radio for emergency location data. It will also hopefully tie in the Merc monitor system with the engine screen on the GPS. All of which will be on display in one form or another for the show.
Well, that's too bad that you would not be able to have it up in the show this year but with what you have done with it and if anyone wants to really know how these new fangled things work, your the man that can tell them !!

    Good luck on the project.

The attendance is starting to look good. Scott McDade called and will be bringing WeLike. That means we will have 3 Skagit 20s, 2 Skagit 17s, 2 Skagit 16s, 1 Skagit 14, 2 Bell Boys, and a Thunder Hawk 15. Kent is also bringing his boat, but I have forgotten the make of it. There is always some boats who are not affiliated with the club so we should have a pretty good show. The antique outboards will also be bringing a display. Clint

I know you were joking, but you do know that the Swinomish Slough is not a river, right? For it to flood it would take an extremely high tide (not predicted), or a tsunami (you never know). I'm trying to think of what kind of electronics would be useful in a tsunami and I'm drawing a blank.

I have received permission to bring the boat down, but grandma is keeping Declan at home...

I will be there before 10 but definitely not gonna make the 7 am parking...

La Conner show turned out to be a success under sunny skies. 117 cars 24 trailer boats and a full dock on the water. I want to especially thank all the club members who came to support the show that I work on. I know some came to the show just to support me and that is really special. Kind of what a club should be all about. Thank to all. Clint

                      Great day in La Connor

Great time had by all ! Thanks for all your work getting this together Clint . Its nice to see some old cruising friends and also meet some new people that you can finally connect a face and personality to the name. It did turn out to be a perfect day and we got a nice showing of Skagits and various other boats.
Also Thanks to Ingvar for the motor display and also carrying the N.W.C.B.C. banner, Also Thanks to Mary for helping Clint with the registration help and keeping the paperwork in order. I did not take alot of pictures and apoligize if I left anybody out and I also wished I would have got more people in with the boat shots I didn't even get a shot of the boat I brought ??? Good to see you all and hope it won't be another year before we all get together again. Look close at the picture of Melanie & Marys boat from the back and you can see " Fearless Fred" making an appearance also

I was there and it was a blast. Talked to the owners and got their views on many issues.

Here are a few of the pictures that I snapped with my little Nikon, Boats ranged from very nicely restored Skagit sportster to a very unique 31 Saratogan, Tim her master, talked at length with me about his experiences and that he knew Al Weinel, who was for years the lead bartender at the tavern in Deer Harbor.

I found out tonight that my friend Rosalyn and my cousin were at the show while I was away touring the dock and having lunch. This after they both told me that they would not be coming to the show.

I enjoyed meeting you all and seeing your boats. Now starting tomorrow I will back be back to installing wiring and other accessories to the boats.

Fun! Fun! Fun! Those of you that missed the party missed a good one!

                          Great show Clint!!

Had a lot of fun talking boats and events with everyone, so glad I decided at the last minute to make this one...

I took pictures of every trailer boat that attended but they are on my iPhone that doesn't allow me to post them here directly. As soon as I can get them on a computer I will upload...

Thanks for all your hard work Clint!!

He should know, he was there. Wipe down with distilled water after a rainstorm and the big blue boat was on display in all his glory. Here you see the towing vehicle arriving to pick up the boat.

Then it's shortly after 4 PM and the show is over. And as quickly as they came, they were gone.
