Lake Tapps

A big thanks to Brian and family for hosting the Lk Tapps event! Sue and I had a great time cruising around the lake and visiting with everyone on shore.
The weather and company were Fantastic. Here are some pics we took, in random order. We should have taken more shots but we are easily sidetracked.

I have to second the "Thanks" to our Host Brian, his family as well as their friends/neighbors that allows us access to the ramp and dock. It has been the most fun my Wife and I have had with our boat since buying it a few months back. The little issues we had with it were almost forgotten once on the water.

The word scramble had me confused until the last letter and then it was not until I looked at the dash of my little boat did we realize what the word was supposed to be... We had to leave early due to a previously arranged BBQ but look forwarding to getting back out.

I would also like to say Thanks to all the members we meet, everyone was so nice.

Tapps event

Brian...thanks again for a great event..and for getting the old Merc started after my arm gave out !!!! I made about half the houses before the rough water got the best of me. Need a heavier boat for days like that. Was great to meet lots of new people...and a nice turnout of cool boats.

Great day at the lake!

First off a great big Thank You to Brian, Steve & Diane(Brian's parents) and their family. Also their friends and neighbors for putting up with our little armada! We had a good day out exploring a lake we had never been to. Having an objective (solve the puzzle) gives a leisurely day on the water a bit more purpose (not that we need much motivation)! The food was good and the company excellent. For a lake it gets pretty rough. A Lot of boats on not a lot of water. Cool lake with many features that make it interesting; bridges, islands, little inlets, calm bays and snaky little channels (thanks MRS. Navigator!) and of course the party cove! We had to go back after dinner and check that out! We didn't exactly fit in with our classic Glasspar but got a few thumbs up from the half naked partiers! Here's a few shots we took. Already looking forward to next year!

Well, I know it has already been said but yesterdays event was FUN!! Many many thanks to the Franchini family for a well planned outing from start to finish. It was nice to get to sit and talk with everyone at the delicious pot-luck. If you were not able to attend you missed out on a nice day.
We(Joe and members Paul and Michelle Pecora from Vancouver) started out with a map of the lake and 7 locations marked it. At each location there was a flag with a letter and a number on it. You had to add together all the numbers and unscramble the letters to find the boat "type" and year. At one location we had five boats in a 5 MPH race to see who could get to the flag first. When it was all said and done it was a race back to the starting point where the first three boats with the correct answer won.
So with a slight sunburn and possibly some dislodged internal organs and a nice smile still on my face here are some of our pictures and one more THANK YOU to Brian and his family!!

I had a great time yesterday cruising and meeting new friends. Thank you to Brian and family for putting on a great event. A special thanks to Brian's dad for helping me launch and retrieve my boat. Can't wait till next year. Will try to post some pictures later.

Thanks to Brian and family for hosting a great day on the water. Our "poker run" ended up being more a game of "capture the flag", that had us all laughing and wanting more! The turn-out was good, with old and new members enjoying our boating cameraderie. You can't say enough about the beauty of the lake and Mt.Rainier right off in the distance. Definitely one of the most fun events we've ever attended, and can't wait until next year! (We'd still be looking for flag #7 if Brian hadn't have told us the flag bucket somehow ended up in the water...Hm-m-m!) We had a fun finish to a really fun activity. These's are just a few photos to share...wish we had gotten more of other members that attended, but we were having too much fun to stop for photos! Here's to a Happy Summer and more great boating.
