  • Project Overload???

I know I'm not the only one in this boat (pun intended)...

With so many projects on the list already I'd be nuts to go buy another one right? Why is it the logical side of our brains can't overcome the I want it, I want it side?

Thankfully, I'm not the only one with "projectaholic syndrome". All I have to do is come here and see others who have it worse than me and I feel better.

Here's the new project. A 1947 Chevy truck I picked up yesterday. Drove it 120 miles home in partial rain with no wipers... Truck overheated about 10 miles from the house so I had it towed the rest of the way. Feels good to have her in the garage safe!

Anyone want to buy a BellBoy 18?

Mark, I have been on the downhill side as far as buying more boats 17'- 21' or whatever for about the last year. When i say "downhill" i mean smaller one's like the G-3's that are only 13.7" feet long. This way of thinking goes over very well with the wife when you explain to her less footage means less $$$'s and at the same time you do not give out real $ numbers. I only have four now. Very nice truck. Chuck

        Driven to distraction...

Nice Rat Rod Mark!, unfortunately the need for a matching '47 boat will soon overwhelm your sense of right and wrong.

You've definitely gone off the rails and need to consult a professional...no not Marty, the kind that wears a white jacket and utilizes shock therapy. DangerCold

          '47 Chev Pickup

          Mark -

Great old truck....is that a 283? (And are you going to stick with the primered rat-rod look, or maybe apply paint to match the BB16?)

It'll be perfect for towing the little Bell Boy!

Shock therapy? Wow, I must have it pretty bad Greg! Perhaps we can both go and get a 2 for 1 special?? Maybe a group discount for all club members?

Marty, the guy I bought it from wasn't even sure what the engine was. He thinks its a SB400?? He bought it from the guy who was building it (distress sale) thinking he would finish it...but he ended up not being able to do it himself. It's been sitting outside in his driveway ever since he bought it.

It was a steal of a deal with all of the upgraded suspension and motor work already done. It has a chrome independent corvette rear end, upgraded independent front end (not sure what type yet), V8 conversion, and beefy disk brakes all around. All of the tough stuff has been done already! Yes, I am going to update the look, not a big fan of the primer black. Odds are good it will end up a similar color to the BB16...

Mark, My wife does not even know how to turn a computer on. She does not care about anything to do with computers , so that means i have to always be printing message off for her from her girlfriends. NOW she has been thinking MAYBE she just might be interested in getting a notebook for herself with her own e-mail name. That would be fine with me. Chuck

Beware what you wish for Chuck. She might discover the fun of buying stuff on eBay and Amazon and soon there'll be nothing left to buy more G-3s with!
