These photos are all that is left of Art Lohrey's classic boat restoration shop on San Juan Island. The fire started in the wee hours of Sunday morning. The shop and six classic wood boats were totally destroyed.

Art was away at the time. Cause of the fire has not been determined.

Heart breaking! I hope that no one was injured other than the boats.

Wow, that is sad for sure.
I have been on fires that were shops and man, they go fast no matter how much water or foam you can dump on them. Hope he was able to retain some sort of insurance....
