Boating more relaxing? You just haven't ever gone boating with me! I used to ride bikes. The kind that you started with a kick or a shove. Then I bought a Goldwing and sometimes put it on cruise and darn near fell asleep going down I-5.

      Not Quite 1/2 Dozen

Dirt bikes, trail bikes, a couple of lawn mowers and a ton of boat parts, that's what been filling my garage for some time Tim.

Amazingly, by selling off my massive collection of boat parts I not only found enough money, but also enough room for my dream bike. I've always wanted one of these, and now it's a reality.

Don't want to ride it too often though, for exactly the reasons Tim brought up. Less time on the road means less exposure to the multitude of idiots out there. Although, as we all know there are a fair number of them on the water as well.

Of course I do recognize this as a boating forum so I should probably include a few pictures of my latest classic boat acquisition. It's a 3/4 complete 14' Cosine Wherry designed by a guy from Edmonds,WA. It's constructed using nothing more than steam bent cedar strips glued together and covered in 6 oz. fiberglass.

I have a pair of 9'3" spruce and mahogany scull oars in the attic that I've been saving for some time for just such a project. When finished it is designed to weigh less than 120 lbs. and row like a dream.

Remember... he who dies with the most toys wins!

So the kids ride the dirt bikes and you get the lawn mower? That doesn't seem fair! VeryBigSmile

Doug, the Wherry is beautiful! It looks like a leaf in these photos, so organic that it looks like it was grown, not constructed. Simply gorgeous. I hope you enjoy it for a long time.
