    Steering hookup

    Hey Ron.

If no takers in your area, send me a close up that just shows the mounting on the transom and the front of the motor.:email1:
I tried to blow up that picture but I need it larger in pixels.

We can do some innovative fabrication to make that work.:GoodJob:

Hooking the steering rod closer to the front of the motor will give you more sweep or turning ability.
Adding an extension on the front of the motor to Reach out to the steering rod (in the picture) will limit your sweep in turning.

        Ron,
Looks small on my screen but it appears the link arm is for a kicker motor.
The steering ram will extend 3.5 `` each way from center,7`` of overall travel.
Looks like the "Fixed Pt" is set up to hook the cable end to a 90 degree adaptor......which should have swiveling abilities or you`ll bind when tilting it up.The end fitting should hook to one of the 2 holes on the motor steering "Tongue".
The one at the end gives less turning and the one closer to the motor pivot giving quicker and a little more left to right steering.
Chuck will set you up.......as I hooked my G-3 Rack up backwards last time,I better stop here......

                      Ron ,
Yep , That would be for the Tach. The OMC control box sometimes has the 3 leads for the dash /Tach.Older side mts stack leads off the keyswitch which is where they come from.
The ones I normally see use a grey or white wire for the Pulse ,then purple for the 12 v and Black for ground.
Seems like the older ones had one less wire and just a pulse.
I know have one to fill the hole at least, and might even have one that works too.
I end up selling my good ones then use dead ones just to fill the holes!
                      Let me know if needed......

                          Ron ,
We open your box and run 3 leads and you get dash lights at night and what the tach needs.
Just need to know if a Power Pilot or what color plug is at the motor end.
                          BTW,Hydros are my weakness!
