Picked this up yesterday in Portland. Anybody who can identify who made it before Marty figures it out wins glory and fame.

Not sure about the boat, but that splashwell sure looks familiar. This is before on my 59' Clippercraft. Looks like you made a pretty sweet find regardless.Attached Files'59 Clippercraft, 35 hp Evinrude

Ok, same idea, but a different design and I don't think they made 20 footers that early. They did in the seventies but with a stern drive. So I don't think it's a Clipper.
When you start replacing the motor-clamping-board, I used 10" galvanized carriage bolts and made the board a couple inches taller. Seems to work pretty good. I'm pretty sure they're made for twin outboards. At least that's my long term power solution.
Lokin' forward to seeing that boat on the water. :cool1:Attached Files'59 Clippercraft, 35 hp Evinrude

curved dash may be a clue
Marty commented that most builders in the northwest did not bother with a curved dash. So if you have this type of woodie with a curved dash that might be a clue.Bruce H. Drake

Yeah, a lot of that looks real familiar. The 1X4's flat on the hull, the 'beams' on those, the spacing, the ribs and the whole aft section are definately a very smilar design to mine.
The boat ID number on mine, B70A8, is under the splashwell on the 'base board' on the port side. Also, the names on various parts are stamped on them under the bow deck.'59 Clippercraft, 35 hp Evinrude

lets visit
Brian
We should visit each other's boats. Mine is in Scappose right at the south end on US30 at the county line. 15 minutes from St Johns Bridge. I will look for part numbers but don't recall seeing any. BruceBruce H. Drake

Bruce, I'll give you a holler in the morning. I'm out in east Portland. These old mahogany ply boats are getting scarce. Looks like your hull got treated with cuprinol like mine. Pretty good stuff for keeping rot in check.'59 Clippercraft, 35 hp Evinrude
