  • First Annual Northwest.....

G3'ers Meet ! On August 15th the newly formed G-3'ers is holding there first annual meet between 11a.m.to 4p.m. at Spencer Lake just north of Shelton. It's not to far from Mason Lake where we have our NWCBC meet in late summer. Everyone is invited to attend to see how great these boats can be. Come and ride in one and see how they handle in all kinds of water conditions as well as seeing some of the power plants the guys have on them. Dr Frankenmerc himself has voluntereed to guide us thru the wilderness ! I use to water ski behind one back in 1960 and up until i got California Girl about 2 years ago,i had forgotten how much fun they can be ! Everyone is welcome. Once you go for a ride you will be hooked ! Let us know if you can make it. More details as the event gets closer. Best,Chuck

            G-3 Gathering

I might make it, but not with a G-3. Would like to be there to photograph the fleet of G-3's ripping across the lake together, though.

                party crasher...

...just so happens in a huge coincidence, we are planning on exploring that lake on that day in a competing manufacturers product. Since nothing else important is going on that weekend I thought we might run into some other cool boats running around too.

                What lake was that again??:TakePicture1:

                    Wish I could be there......

Chuck, won't be able to make this event this year. As much as I'd like to, I have a race at Monroe that day. This event was the motivation (I sometimes need deadlines to get stuff done) to get me to screw my little G3 back together. I took the gutless Mark75 jet off and built a period correct prop engine for it. Even picked up an electric/hydraulic jackplate I want to play around with.:cool1: Hopefully next year I can make it. Heres wishing you guys have a good turnout and a great day on the water! Take lots of pics!:TakePicture1:

                          G-3

Crud, I guess I'll miss it this year. G-3 and "Marathon" merc is running but still fighting for the title so I can register. May at least take it to the LaConner show. I can't find any tag or factory stamp anywhere on the boat, although I'm told the title lists it as a 1959. It hasn't been registered with WA for at least 2 decades and there is no record using the WA boat numbers. Wost case I suppose I could find a title off of a basketcase G-3.....Anyway, one way or the other, I'll be ready next year!:Bigdriving1:

After at least a decade in storage, Mark75 runs fine after fixing fuel pump, ignition, 3 carbs and impeller....most parts thanks to our own Dr F. What a beast, though....

                            Great looking g3 package!

For these old girls-Worst case for title/registration issues: use another comparable boats numbers to get you on the water-while you are working the system. I have the numbers/title for a 15' Larsen if that would help. If nothing else, when/if I don't get satisfaction at one licensing agency, I'll look for a more creative (out of the box) thinker at another to get the job done. (a nice smile helps)

Looking forward to crashing this g3 party on the 15th.

                              Spencer Lake

                              Chuck -

Still hoping to make the Spencer Lake event...

Do you know where the launch ramp is? It's easy to find the lake itself, but from maps and even from Google Earth views, I can't seem to find the ramp.
