Some of you have no doubt heard references to the Jacobsen Brothers, who built boats for 40-plus years in a shop at the Arlington Airport.
The brothers--Vern, Marv and Arnold Jacobsen--produced a wide variety of wooden boats including some that were carvel-planked, lapstrake and later plywood construction. By the 1950's, if not earlier, they came up with the brand name Jay Craft to describe their standard line of boats.
Here are some miscellaneous brochures and photos of their late 1950's boats.
