        Like Brian said; it depends on the reason. To save tire wear on the trailer, no. To save ferry fees, that's OK...

          I've seen this done by people who camp in a trailer and need to take along a fishing boat too big to go on top of their truck. Also knew a guy who would pull his trailer from Lynden across the mountains to fish 300 miles from home. Then go home and tow his boat over. When he headed home, two round trips again. Guess it is a case of whatever works.
          There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness.":shocked4:

            I just want to see him launch the boat from the truck. Just hope he has a snorkel when he launchs it.
