  • BellBoy breaks the sound barrier!!!

So, today was the first outing of the newly painted BellBoy 404. I was running a 13x17 three blade aluminum prop and the Merc 1350 was tilted at the third pin setting on the clamp. I had about 2 gallons of fuel on board and took the kicker off the transom to save weight. Turned the boat downwind and slowly opened the throttle. I broke my record for speed today at 40.2 MPH !!! Until today, the BB never saw 40 mph.
    Cool...

    Best,

    Bob

Bob, I'm surprised that two gallons of gas lasted long enough to get to 40.2! Did ya have to paddle home?

Ha Ha...Ok maybe it was a bit more than that but the boat was a light as I could make it...

Bob, did you have pooch with you? I really liked those clips you use to post on Fiberglassic's a few year's ago. Glad your back on the water enjoying the Bellboy. Have a good one Bob.
