Marine surveyor Cole Comings surveryed the Saratogan Monday. We spent a good four hours talking Skagit, Skagit Plastics and many of the people that worked there. I was amazed at how much Cole knows about the history of Skagit Plastics.
Coles father, Cole Sr. worked for Skagit, lofted the Saratogan and built the hull plug. Cole told me that Howard Roberts, the head man at Skagit was a naval architect. I never have heard that before. Anyone else aware of this? Makes sense. Roberts designs are esthetically and functionally correct....very uncompromising.
