      local boat done good...

Thanks for the great pictures, McSkagit's head must be spinning.
Everyone that has ever dreamed of, built, ridden in, or owned a Skagit would be very excited to see this one floating.

The best part is Tim's back story with this hull...

Looking forward to seeing a picture of Tim's 97 year old father piloting this beauty, with a huge smile.

            Sea Trials

With her twin Volvo Penta TAMD41 turbo diesels, 2:1 reduction gears and
            18" X 21" four blade props, she's a little overpowered...oh well! A bit under- propped too! Gees!

Michigan Propeller did the propeller calculation for the boat. They said that 18 X 22 was the correct diameter/pitch for a four blade, but they only make them in odd pitches. I went for the 21 pitch instead of the 23....

              The mothership has 'un' landed!

WoW!! That is a big Skagit! Beautiful job! Congratulation on getting her 'wet', (I almost wrote 'done', but are they ever?) Been following along with the rework. Makes my little boats look like bathtub toys! We hope to make it North on one of the saltwater events and check her out in person. Way to persevere!:GoodJob: P.S. -An over powered under propped boat? I like the sound of that! "More prop Captain!"
