Glad they made it to Victoria safely. But wow, what completely boggles me is why they chose to make this trek during this time of year. I just came across this article:

The seas are equally unforgiving off the northeast. The guys in the holy crap trip were clearly safer in their Silverton motoryacht than they would have been on a 40+ year old improperly maintained wood boat, but taking on those seas is still (in my opinion) a risk that should be taken only in completely necessary cases.

When whether and one's schedule are in a battle with one another, weather always wins. It's a good thing they waited out several storms...
