        Opening Day

        Brian -

I'm still several weeks away from having a running '58 Bell Boy 16' express, so we won't make Opening Day this year. (To partially compensate, we'll take the 10 mph Luhrs for a short ride Saturday and take part in the local Port Townsend Opening Day Parade.)

        Next year....

Jim, thanks for the update, sorry if I missed an earlier post.

Marty, sad you won't be there. Does some one else have the club banner or do I need to coordinate a pick up from you?

Chuck, the costumes have changed a little. We discovered that sewing the tenticles on to sweatshirts was way to much work for me handle alone in just 2 weeks. So we will be selling the octopus / starfish belts as they came for $5 a piece.

          Costumes reserved (12 available):

          Chuck C. = 1
          Tim Mattson = 1
          Roger Morse = 1

I will post pics of the costume belts this evening, there are a few different ways they can be worn or even placed on the boat...

            Brian,

As of now the weather looks good. I'll be there with two crew cleverly clad in fashionable fish hats.

                Parade Banners

                Brian -

I gave the club banners to Ingvar, who said he'll deliver them to you Saturday.

Perfect!! Ingvar and I have been in communication but he never mentioned banners, but at least I know he is going to be there.. Wont be the same without our fearless photographer / long time captain...

Andy / Gordon & Cheryl, Really glad you guys will be joining us. We are going to have quite the fleet!!!

Just a reminder again, that every boat needs to try real hard to have at least a handheld VHF radio. Not only for inner-group communications but we are also required to monitor channel 68 to listen to the parade director who will be running the show. Depending on how organized groups are they will often bump us up in the sequence to avoid any gaps in the parade.

                        See you all on Saturday!!!

                          Not this time.

                          Brian,
I won't be making it this year, It sounds like a lot of fun. I'm looking forward to seeing the pictures. I think the club has a good chance of placeing at the top and bring home the gold. :GoTeam1:

                            Mayday Mayday Mayday

WE ARE OFFICIALLY ALLOWED UP TO 25 BOATS...

I had to beg and plead to get our registration changed from 15 up to 25 so I am really counting on everyone who has already spoken up to be there. We can make a nice showing for our club as we are slated to have just about every possible type of classic boat represented in one group!!!

This is going to be awesome!!!
