Aaahhhh!!!
You guys are killing me!!
Tomorrow is my brother's birthday in Bonny Lake (@ 2) so I could bring the boat down for a cruise then continue on to the party or go with plan "A" which was to finally roll my Harley out from under the cover for the first time in 2011...

Wow, what a beautiful morning it was! Dave Wickline, Jim Brooks, Gordon & Cheryl and I started the weekend off right!
Here's a few photos, notice how calmly Dave observes while his crew fends off an apparent boarding by pirates with a giant squirt gun.
I hope the weather and water are as great next weekend.

What a great morning it was! The lake got a little more packed later in the day but not as bad as I thought it would. We pulled out of the water about 5pm, all a little sunburned!Dave Wickline

When I got home Brendan and I shuffled some boats around and moved his Bell Boy out in front of the shop so he could get started on it, he's been itching to get working on her.
After building the cradle we slid her off the trailer and he starting pulling out the pulp from inside, along with years of rusty fishhooks, rotten rope, a large rock and an amazing assortment of scrap pieces of foam that had been stuffed everywhere. We had already removed the ancient radio direction finder and the leather doctor's bag containing the reloading press.
Now to introduce her to Mr Pressure Washer ...Attached Files

Did you know that bell boy is one that Marty really wasn't sure about giving up. It was one of his favorites.
Nice boat. I have the newer one to that model, needs EVERYTHING of course.Attached FilesHelmar Joe Johanesen

Originally posted by chuckcarey, post: 17606Tim, What a nice area outside of your shop. Do i see boxes taking up boat working area ? lol Chuck
I'm a former cabinet and furniture maker and couldn't stand to spend the next 40 years looking at the cheap, barely finished cabinets that were in this kitchen. That would be like Marty only being allowed one boat, a '76 Bayliner Capri with an ACX plywood wheelhouse, green shag carpeting, a shark's mouth painted on the hull and crooked hand painted lettering on the stern that says "Old Guys Rool".
I won't even hang these in the shop until I paint them ...
