Talked with Marty and he advised me on checking the transom on Rosario. I drilled seven small holes in the transom inside above the splash well and every one produced wet, rotten wood. Guess I'm lucky the motor hasn't fallen off.
Can't be that a little bumping over solid rock did that. It just called attention to the need for a new transom. Oh, well, I still have my 12 aluminum boat so I shall do a bit of crabbing and maybe even a bit of salmon fishing this summer.
Ah, if it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all.

Hmmmmmmmmmm! I would call that good luck as you did not get hurt and know what to fix.
