Bruce Bridwell and I took our Skagits out today. Left from LaConner ($2.50 launch fee) to Coupeville for lunch. Next we went to Hope island to suvey the beach where the pictures in the 1959 Skagit brochure were taken. The beach is unused and after looking at it at a low tide it is still good. This is the south beach and the southeast section is the area without rocks. We then went to Bowmans bay through Deception pass. The pass was running fast with a in coming tide. The small pass was a little like white water rafting. Picked up about 5mph on the GPS going with the tide. Then back to LaConner. About a 6 hour cruise with smooth water, good friends, and good boats. Clint
