On Craigs list is a great donor boat if you have a hull that you love. 1973 17 foot bayliner for $2500. Toss the boat. 2006 50Hp etec 100 hours. 2010 king trailer, plus extras. if they're clean it is good value.

blow up dolls would be better and provide some flotation, and with a throw rope, you could save someone from drowning with a babe, and they won't complain about using a chem toliet on a open deck, or tell you have had to many beers and should think about putting a PDF on.

Indeed, boat owners are one more rung up the ladder.
I'd rather see someone having fun on a bayliner than not at all. Just not impressed with the build quality. Still! Last years boat show had a new model cuddy cabin. 80+k boat and the dining table was mounted over half of a cup holder opening.
That being said, my boating as a teen was all on Bayliners and I lived to tell the tale.John Forsythe
