              I don't want to start a Skagit vs Bell Boy war, but I think you must admit the hull designs are at the very least similar. :TwoCents1:

                What hulls are you comparing?

                What specific hulls are you comparing? The 31 Saratogan hull was looked at as a possible PBR hull, but the Navy wanted a wider and shallower draft hull.

                I can't compare the Saratogan hull to anything I've seen before or since. It's a modified Vee with very rounded sections and a deep keel. About 18 degrees deadrise midships and 7 degrees at the stern. Hard chines with spray knockers.
                Considered a semi-displacement or semi-planing hull, not a true planing hull.
