  • Where is this south Sound beach?

Does anyone know where this South Sound beach is?

That looks like a Mansfield Custom Line in front, followed by a Skagit and then, maybe, a Lady Clipper (?). Lots of red Johnsons.

The pic is from a slide and must be a Kodachrome.

    South Sound Location...

My guess is it's one of two places on Hartstene Island--either next to the point at the northeast tip, or adjoining the point at the southwest end of the island.

Just can't think of where else you'd see that combination of open beach with bluff in the background...but there are probably many other possibilities.

          Steve,

We can be in Missoula, Tahuya or Fort Collins, CO (w/daughter and family) or points in between but now are on the Canal. How's that Merc 450 running?

                    where is this beach?

At first glance it looked like the beach in this 1950's Skagit brochure?
