  • i/o mechanic in Aberdeen?

Hi! I may look at a Dorsett San Juan with a 6 cylinder (165hp?) Mercruiser i/o in Aberdeen. Since I know little about i/o units I would like to have someone look at it with me--if my Captain and I get serious about the boat. Does anyone know a good mechanic that they trust down there?
    Thanks! -Ken
or I'd like to find a nice outboard San Juan, if anyone sees one.....

Is that the one down by the East end of the Port dock road?

      Hi, Karl....

      Hi, Karl!
I was wondering if you'd pick up on this since it is in your "neighborhood".... It is at 1107 West market. Was a CL ad.... If you know anything about it I'd appreciate the "lowdown" or any information you can scare up--or were you thinking of a different boat?. It sounds like he replaced the floor with particle board.... I recently had surgery so will not be making the trip for a while to see it...
      Should we talk?
      Thanks...-Ken

        Hey Ken,
You looking to have His and Hers?:cool1:
I don`t usually condone inboards but they sure seem more practical as gas prices stay somewhat high......but you still have a fuel-sipping Yamaha 100 hp right?

          Hi, Tim!

Yep, I still have that 4 stroke. We are interested in maybe getting a smooth riding cuddy.... I like the Dorsetts and if we run across a nice one then maybe....
I am spending time on reworking and sailing the cute Pelican sailboats-- they really are fun and between me and my 2 buddies we have 3. One is operable (but has rot), one is under restoration, and number 3 will sink if you put it in water....
