    As far as the year for the cabin change I believe it is probably around 1965. Mine is a 1961 and is the lower window design which I like much better. They look quite a bit sleeker that way.

    I have a couple Homelite ads and Johnson ads as well. I have only seen one 1965 and it was an inboard with large windows. There is one identical to mine for sale in Tri Cities for $250 on a trailer.

    I am a miner at the Lucky Friday mine here in the Silver Valley. Hence the good schedule 12 hour days are a bit long though especially graveyard shift.

      The cabin change I was referring to was from what Helmar's boat and my boat have, compared to what your '61 has. If Helmar's is a '60, then I'm guessing sometime in mid '60 they started getting the mold ready for the bigger windows like yours.

        Mine is a 58 or 59. Titles lie.
        They thought my 58 Skagit was a 62.....Factory burned down in 1960 due to insurance purposes.
        Of course, that is just my opinion, I could be wrong.
