I used to have an excursion just like that one. I miss it big time. I think we will probably get another one next spring. Mine was the triton V-10 everyone used to complain about the mileage but i could consistently get 15.

I have a bad habit of restoring old boats and vehicles, then letting them go too soon. Here's one of my previous tow vehicles that got away--a 1951 Pontiac woody wagon with original straight-8 flathead that actually towed pretty well. It went to a Pontiac collector in Texas after I put it on eBay.

Marty,
Ah, the Pontiac woody! Was wondering what happened to that cream puff?

Not my tow vehicle, but glad that Jeremiah came alone when he did. My plan was to tow the Saratogan with my Silverado 1500. Jeremiah did a lot of talking to talk me out of towing the boat with my pickup. The boat and trailer weighed over 15,000 pounds. Thank you Jeremiah!

Jeremiah helped me get the Saratogan on the trailer. We picked the 12,000 pound boat up with eight jack-stands. The jack-stands near the bow were groaning from the weight. What a day!

Sorry Ole. That Pontiac needed to be full size to really show her glory.

The Flying Scott will hit the water Sping of '14. I have an '04 F-150, but I would really like to set this 78' Zephyer Wagon. Can't resize the pic.

My new gift to myself a couple of weeks ago... Tacoma TRD Sport Longbed. First time I haven't had a diesel anything in over 10 years! Fuel mileage is horrible compared to my diesels but it's a nice little truck and fits our family. I gotta say, the back up camera is pretty nifty to have when hooking up the trailer. Sure I've done it for 20 years without, but it is nice to have.
