Chuck, you are good at pricing things like this. Can you suggest a price to put on this one.
Looking at the boat, it was turned into a working boat so we have a Classic Working boat I would guess.
A Very practical Classic Working boat.

I have a number in my head but I am a cheap skate so I would like Chuck to price it.

I know what its like to crawl under the hard top as I have one of those on my Skagit Skimaster. Not fun the older I get.

I wouldn't throw a solid estimate out there without seeing current pics, but that's just me. These pics are probably from the mid 80's judging by other things in the pictures. My boat, before I purchased it deteriorated quite a bit with the previous owner. That was just in 3 years.

Joe, Like Kelly said lets wait for some up to date pictures. If i purchased the boat ( i don't need another boat ) the trailer would take away from the price at least to me, being it has that "top heavy" look to it as far as going around a corner. The trailer fenders are waaaaay to far under that hull, but that would not deter me from buying it. I would not want a semi truck to blow by me on I-5 with that trailer ! ...sorry. I would just take that into consideration on the price i would offer. By the pictures we have seen, it does look like a very nice boat for fishing with that Elgin? kicker motor. Anyway you look at it ,there are two prices....the asking price you would list it for and the price if you where thinking to buying it for. I would replace that trailer right a way.

ok here is photos from today... we dusted it off.....and took photos then parked it back in the barn... its got a depth /fish finder... and a trolling plate on the motor.... took out three or four times since the new motor was put on... parked under cover always........ the vinyl top is in excellent shape no rot or mildew... just needs to be cleaned with a vinyl cleaner.. I did not have a ladder to get me that high to do that part.... New seats... and foot rests under the seats... great floor... Dad had painted it with deck paint and grit to make it nonslip.... worked great when getting that big salmon in.......! let me know what you think. Thanks guys! will be posting it for sale next week I hope.

Kat , $5000.00 ? ? I would not even try to barter with you being you would be wasting my time and yours. The boat is a nice one , but, i feel it is not worth $5000.00 ! ...sorry. Don't mean to be rude. I would say it would be about a asking price of $1500 OBO .One of the reason is that trailer is a accident waiting to happen with the axle positioned in the middle of the hull underneath....see picture. I know you would say there was never a problem with it , but i would say you were lucky. If you got $1200.00 for the boat & trailer that would be great ! Remember the person who purchased it needs to go get another trailer right away. Again don't mean to be rude.

Well, I was thinking in those same lines, sorry.
Might try for a little more. Maybe start asking $2000 and talk about the special limited model, the shape she is in and setup as a fishing machine..

Boy, I really hate it when we get asked to price things but I think your going to have to find the right person. Chuck always seems to nail it so that is why I asked Chuck to help. Thanks Chuck.

I keep seeing a classic that was converted into a convenient fishing machine. Without that conversion she might have been way more valuable due to, that is only the Second one I have ever seen.
They seem to be very rare.. And the shape, she looks in great shape too.
Also, I don't mean to be disrespectful or rude either....Sorry again.

Hey no problem.. and definitely no offense taken... I have no clue on boat pricing or anything like that... I know dad paid 2500 for the boat new..... so thought this many years later.. and the better workability of it.. but ya.. no I was thinking of setting a high price you can always come down but you cant go up... so having a ball park to start at is good. but ya.. if I put it on the classifieds for 2500 and can come down if they like the boat...... my neighbor was also possibly interested in it... and he would be trading for some carpentry work on our house if he does it.. he runs a building supply place............. I want to be fair... so that why I came here to get your opinion....... Ya... Dad always used that trailer... and like you said... no problems but he was also a semi truck driver and knew how to drive a rig... and what to do if anything went wrong... so I guess for him it was not a worry..........I do not drive trailers or know anything about them.. so thankyou for pointing it out and why. I will make sure that anyone who wants the boat ... to let them know they should look into getting a new trailer.......I really really appreciate your input on this... and nice to find a couple other people out there who have atleast heard of a uniflite boat.........was nice to get to shine it up one more time... still smells the same... and that brought back lots of memories too..... nice ones. Thanks again for your help! I really appreciate it!

That trailer looks like a typical EZ-loader style setup with which you can easily reposition the axle along the main frames. I agree with Chuck that it is definitely not good the way it is but I bet you could unbolt the axle chassis and slide it back to better balance the boat. The main frame may even have holes pre drilled for different positions... Fixing the trailer could be done for next to nothing but would definitly help sell it.

Brian, I was looking to see if it can be move back, but can't tell from the picture. That trailer must have really whiplash back an forth going down the road. I-5 ...no way !
