The place is full of good stuff and last week everything was 30% off. I believe it drops to 40% off this week (don't quote me on that. I went crazy and bought stuff I think I might need sometime in the future.

Dang. That is one of my favorite stores and a prime reason for going to Bellingham. Might have to take a trip up there to see what is left. I don't really need anything but you never know what you might find!

It really sad some time to see organizations like this go by the wayside.
Some of those folks have hung in for as long as they can. Sad, really sad.

Sorry to hear of Marine Exchange closing! I've bought a lot of stuff there for the 31 restoration. In fact, not long ago I purchased some hand rail ends for the Saratogan #2.

With Second Wave gone and now Marine Exchange on it's way out, it's going to be really difficult to find vintage hardware for the Saratogan hull 2 restoration. At the very least, I need one Chris 10 inch streamline cleat and a Wilcox "Skipper" head (marine toilet)

Years ago I bought a Volvo Penta DuoProp drive from Marine Exchange. I specified that if the gears weren't good, I was going to return it. Well, the gears weren't good and I returned and they gave me my money back no questions asked (about 2 grand).

This will be a big loss for the boat restoration folks.....although vintage (usually bronze) hardware is already getting scarce. Luckily, most of Saratogan hull 2's hardware is there.

Though they didn't have much that I needed, I still think it's a sad day in our boating community when a resource like Marine Exchange closes it's doors.

Their selection of steering cables and hardware is unmatched. I got a few things for the 404 there. Always managed to come back with something when I visited.
